Juniper Ginger is the songwriting project of Maine-based musician Alex Millan. Her latest independent release, All These Songs of Yours, is an exploration of heartbreak and transformation. Moving through genre and tone, the LP sees its occasionally unsympathetic protagonist navigating a season of relationship rupture & repair. To celebrate this release, Juniper Ginger will appear for one night only as a veritable Maine supergroup featuring GV Beaudoin and Luke Kalloch (Dead Gowns), Ben Combs (Bugcatcher) and David Rodgers (Tremolo Fields).

Rosie Borden is Portland’s biggest open secret. Her songs vacillate ecstatically between bright anthemic pop catharsis and muted confessional folk lyricism. She loves to sing and play and laugh and cry.

Blue Darling (Portland, OR)/ Heather Lynn

Tuesday night show featuring Blue Darling from the other Portland, PLUS we welcome back this Portland’s own Heather Lynn!

Doors at 6:30pm. $10 at the door. Limited to 50 attendees *BYOB*

Blue Darling is a folk duet collaboration of Ezza Rose and her long-time lead guitar player, Craig Rupert. As Roses’ full-band sound expanded sonically over the past ten years, the two decided to form a songwriting outlet for their folk songs that recall their early days picking acoustic guitars and singing close harmonies(mostly around campfires). -Glide Magazine

Raised in the Blue Ridge of Virginia, Heather Lynn keeps the sounds and traditions of Appalachia close to her heart. Born into a musical family, her earliest memories are of singing in the church choir alongside her family. Heather’s music reflects her love of folk artists like Etta Baker and Jean Ritchie, weaving fingerstyle guitar with free flowing melodies and lyrics. —-passim.org
